Fond Farewells to Harriet and Benny
Simon Langton Brass said a fond farewell to two of our players in August 2026 as they prepared to move out of the area.
Harriet, our 1st Trombone player, and Benny, our 3rd Cornet player, have both been valued members of the band. We are grateful for the music, friendship and commitment they have shared with us.
From everyone at Simon Langton Brass, thank you both for everything. We wish you every happiness and success for the future — and hope our musical paths cross again! 🎺

Good Luck, Ben — A New Musical Chapter in Leeds
Towards the end of July, Simon Langton Brass said a fond farewell to Ben Sutehull as he prepared for an exciting new chapter in Leeds.
In September, Ben will begin studying music at Leeds Conservatoire. We are delighted to see him taking this next step in his musical journey and wish him every success with his studies and everything that lies ahead.

Welcome to David Lockwood — Our New Musical Director
Simon Langton Brass is delighted to welcome David Lockwood, who was appointed Musical Director in November 2025.
An experienced military musician and brass band conductor, David brings a wealth of musical knowledge, enthusiasm and a passion for making music together. We look forward to an exciting new chapter for the band under his direction.
