Under founder and Musical Director David Cutting, Simon Langton Brass won the London & Southern Counties Fourth Section Regional Championships, performing Devon Fantasy. The band subsequently appeared at the National Finals with A Malvern Suite.
With Keith Twyman conducting, the band won the London & Southern Counties Fourth Section playing Stantonbury Festival, then finished third at the National Fourth Section Final with Beecher Variations.
Under Andy Collins, Simon Langton Brass won the London & Southern Counties Third Section with Chorale and Toccata, going on to finish twelfth at the National Third Section Final performing The Lost Village of Imber.
The band performed at the Gulbenkian during Andy Collins’s period as Musical Director, an important chapter in its concert history.
On 22 March 2026, the band placed 12th out of 17 in the London & Southern Counties Third Section regional contest at Stevenage, performing Gordon Langford’s Three Haworth Impressions. It was the first contest under Musical Director David Lockwood.
Founded in 2011 by David Cutting, the band celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2026, recognising its Musical Directors, members and supporters past and present.
